The municipality of Castrillo de la Reina (217 inhabitants in 2012; 1,445 ha) is located in the southeast of the Burgos Province, 65 km of Burgos.

The flag and arms of Castrillo de la Reina are prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 30 September 2011 by the Municipal Council, signed on 6
October 2011 by the Mayor, and published on 19 October 2011 in the
official gazette of Castile and León, No. 202, p. 78,859 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of three horizontal, equal stripes; from top to bottom, red, white, and yellow. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms, whose height shall be 60% of the flag's height.
Coat of arms: Shield gules (red) a castle or ports and window azure (blue) masoned sable (black) and with three towers, the central higher, ensigned with seven five-pointed stars argent forming an arched, the three central bigger. The shield surmounted with a Spanish Royal crown.
