It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

The arms are Argent a lozenge throughout Azure and fess throughout wavy Azure fimbriated Argent and a bend throughout checquy of Gules and Argent and in sinister chief a grill Sable alight with flames Gules garnished Or. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VESTIARIA".
Meaning:
"Vestiaria" refers clothing (exact meaning uncertain) and in Portuguese heraldry a shield with a lozenge throughout is said to be "dressed" (or "clothed") (also in Spanish: < http://www.armoria.info/glosario_heraldico/Vestido.html >), thus canting arms.

Vestiaria Commune is one of the pre-2013 communes of Alcobaça Municipality (q.v.); it had 1262 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 6,31 km².
