The arms are Vert a fess wavy Argent, in chief two windmill wheels Sable rigged and roped Or, in base a cow passant Argent spotted Sable. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading "FAMÕES - ODIVELAS" in black upper case letters.

Presentation of Famões

Famões Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Odivelas Municipality (q.v.); it had 9008 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 4,69 km².
